Arthur Dryden

Co. "M", 164th Infantry, 41st (Sunset) Division; son of William Dryden of Grand Forks ND and born in Audubon, Iowa in 1898; entered service during summer of 1917 and trained at Camps Green, Mills and Merritt; overseas in December, 1917, and transferred to 2nd Ammunition Train, 2nd Division after arrival in France. Served at Chateau Thierry, Belleau Wood, St Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives. Taken ill with influenza during Meuse-Argonne drive and sent back to US Military Hospital at Angiers, France, where he died during November, 1918.
